10 YEARS OF ATLANTIC PACIFIC
· Ashraf Awar
A decade ago, we set out with one mission: to combat global drowning. Ten years on, that mission has become a movement, and young people have been at the heart of it.
We’ve trained over 1,000 people through hands-on courses in casualty care, powerboating, search and rescue and much more. We’ve run summer camps and youth programmes that give young people from all backgrounds the skills and confidence to save lives at sea. We’ve watched teenagers arrive unsure of themselves and leave as trained, capable rescuers, ready to make a difference in their own communities and beyond. And we’ve delivered lifeboats and crew to communities without rescue services, extending our reach to those who need it most.
None of it would have been possible without our volunteers, instructors, partners and supporters. Whether you’ve fundraised, trained, mentored, or simply believed in what we’re building, you are this decade. Thank you.
10 years in, we’re not slowing down. Every young person we train is another lifesaver in the making, and there’s still so much work ahead. If you’ve ever thought about supporting us, this is the moment.
Donate, volunteer, or book a course for a young person in your life, every bit of support helps us train the next generation of rescuers.
Here’s to 10 years. Here’s to the next decade of saving lives at sea.
